dd verbose

Trying to pass large amount of data with dd is a little frustrating, ¿what are doing?...¿how many bytes are copied? this type of questions assaults my mind when need to use dd for something task.

In LinuxQuestions have the answer for this, using the (almost forgotten...) other singnals other than the sigKill or sigTerm, sigUSR1 haves the answer this time for dd.
